I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements & I had found out that it was not what I needed. How much is the other photoshop? The one that replaces picture backgrounds really clearly.
These are free photo editing softwares

It is usually around $600. OUCH!!!
If you are a student, you can get it much cheaper. There are a few slight differences in the Student/Academic Version – (it doesn’t come with the stock photography) but nothing different about the actual program. It is around $280.
If you like Photoshop, but don’t like the price – try The GIMP. It is free from http://www.gimp.org and it is really nice.
There is also a Photoshop clone version of the GIMP called GIMPSHOP: http://plasticbugs.com/?page_id=294
Check Ebay. Photoshop CS2 is currently going for around $300 to $400. The newest version is now CS3. What you get on Ebay is usually an upgrade (which is exactly the same as the full software) with an older version included so that you can unlock the upgrade. Usually no problems if you deal with a reputable dealer. Not many people pay full list price (sort of like auto sticker prices) .
It costs around $699 for the full version. If you are a student or a teacher you can get it from adobe cheaper through there education program. But for us normal folks its $699. You can get it at pretty much any computer store.
It really depends on what it is. Adobe Photoshop the basics are about $120-300 and one of the best one, the one that I have is about $1000, you can make light sabers in it too, isn’t that cool!!!
