I just got Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 and installed it on my Windows Vista laptop. I wanna make sure I got a genuine copy -I checked my program files after installation and the program is pretty small -it only takes up around 400 MB (after installation)…is this right?

I’ve followed the directions on the disc, but after it says the install is complete when I click on the icon, nothing happens. I should mention that I’m running Window’s Vista and I’ve tried loading it with my security disabled as was suggested on Adobe’s forum, still nothing. If I open the task manager I can see it running there, but the application never opens. Any suggestions?

I want a site where I can go, download Photoshop, and start using Photoshop, period. Not error pages and error signs and other mishaps. Does anyone know?

If I just want to restore ruined, old photos, blow up old photos, add color and sepia and things, is it worth it to buy Photoshop Elements 7 for $50? (its on sale) can this program do all this? These photos are not on a digital camera, they are old.
